John D. Hawkins

Mr. Hawkins has over 30 years’ experience in Healthcare Consulting and Recruiting, and is a nationally recognized leader in Healthcare Staffing. His expertise includes strategic and operational management in Physician Recruiting and Business Development.

For the past 25 years, Mr. Hawkins was a Senior Vice President for Merritt Hawkins, involved in the daily management of Business Development and Recruiting for the Northeast and Southeast regions. He has personally overseen more than 20,000 permanent clinician and executive search assignments nationally.

As co-founder and President Emeritus of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Mr. Hawkins has been instrumental in developing the mission, vision and culture of the organization. JDHA is founded on the principles of service to others; putting their clients’, providers’ and community’s needs above their own.

Mr. Hawkins was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He served 3 years in the United States Marine Corps and currently resides in Atlanta. Mr. Hawkins and wife Kim have four children.

Troy Fowler

Troy Fowler is an executive leader and veteran physician recruiter with over 20 years of physician recruitment experience. Having won many physician “Recruiter of the Year” awards, he is an expert at filling the most difficult searches. Additionally, Mr. Fowler has overseen thousands of client searches, leading sizable teams of recruiters with Merritt Hawkins in the Midwest, Southwest, and West Coast divisions. He has also recruited to every state in the country with the exception of a few states in the Northeast. He will listen, clarify, and then efficiently create a recruitment plan of attack that is NOT one size fits all.

As a co-founder of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, his goal is to get back to “the every search is different, personalized approach that treats clients as partners not a number.” True servant leadership is what JDHA is founded on and will be the reason clients will choose JDHA over and over again.

Mr. Fowler was born in South Carolina and raised in a small town in Iowa. He and his wife Lucy have one son and live in the country just north of Dallas. In his free time, Troy is very active in the CrossFit community.

Jason Reavis

Jason Reavis has been a recruiter and consultant since 2002. He brings a unique perspective gained from his experience in education, serving the social, emotional and mental health needs of students. Having successfully recruited over 100 physicians and midlevel providers in a variety of settings, Jason brings the energy, knowledge and experience needed to successfully identify and secure the right candidate.

As one of the founders of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Jason recognizes and appreciates that the role of a recruiter is about building strong and lasting relationships based on trust, integrity and tenacity. He treats every client as if it were his only one and embodies the values we hold dear at JDHA.

Jason grew up in North Carolina, graduated from NC State University and has found himself always pulling for the underdog! His wife, Jennifer, was born and raised in Texas. They have a son and a daughter and just recently moved to the Phoenix metro after having lived in the Atlanta area for 18 years. On weekends, you can find Jason cheering on his daughter in musical theater and his son in baseball!

Mark Conley

Mark Conley is an executive leader with over 20 years of physician search experience. Mark began his career as a recruiter and was recognized as the National Recruiter of the year in 2001 for Merritt Hawkins, ultimately being honored as a member of the Recruiting Hall of Fame. He also served as a Vice President of Recruiting, leading the Southeast Recruiting team, where he oversaw the completion of hundreds of search projects. Mark is an alumnus of Herman Miller Inc. where he learned a client-centric approach to business.

As a Partner of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Mark provides advice to clients and providers on topics ranging from structuring compensation packages and physician search process to partnership agreements and physician retention strategies, just to name a few. Mark lives through our values of putting the client’s and provider’s needs first and thus works to consultatively understand any challenges they face and find the best solution to address these challenges.

Mr. Conley was born in and raised in Chicago as well as in Michigan. Mark is a graduate of Alma College and the University of Notre Dame and is an avid fan of all Irish sports teams (Go Irish!). He and his wife, Lisa, have a son and daughter, and live in Forsyth County Georgia. In his free time, Mark is very active with coaching and attending his son’s baseball, football, and basketball games as well as his daughter’s soccer and basketball games.

Heather Spivey

Heather Spivey has almost 25 years of healthcare recruiting & consulting experience. She has been named “Impact Player of the Year” and “Recruiter of the Year” for numerous years and was also awarded “Recruiter of the Year” by Locumslife Magazine. She loves building relationships and attracts quality recruits through her consultative approach, which allows her to pair clients with top notch candidates in a variety of settings on a nationwide basis.

As a partner of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Heather brings many years of experience to the team, along with integrity, great communications skills and drive. Heather prides herself on building strong relationships while always putting a candidate’s needs first. She is passionate about helping others & giving every candidate the best experience possible.

Heather is a native Texan and graduate of Texas A&M University. Go Aggies! She and her husband, Todd, have a son and daughter. When Heather is not working, you can find her on the sidelines as both of her kids play soccer on select and national teams. She also loves watching her son play football and run track. Outside of being a full-time taxi to practices and games, she is very active personally in the gym, cycling and HotWorx.

Tim Smith

Tim Smith has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience with more than 10 years in the healthcare industry. His knowledge of the industry, enthusiasm for relationship building, and drive to always keep the client his priority, makes him an invaluable asset to our team.

Tim prides himself on consulting and places an emphasis on building long-lasting, professional relationships. Tim excels through one of our JDHA values of Servant Leadership where Tim truly puts the needs of his clients before all else. Establishing a strong rapport with each client and understanding the exact needs of each business relationship is where Tim shines.

Tim relocated to Texas from Chicago in 2007. On his off-time, Tim enjoys sharing time with his wife, their 2 dogs and cat, or catching a sports game. On the weekends, you can often find Tim working on his golf game or coaching Minor League and Arena football in the Dallas area.

Catherine Bremer

Catherine Bremer is J.D. Hawkins & Associates’ Business Administrator with over 5 years of Operations experience, 3 of which are in the industry. Catherine began her career in Accounting then expanded her knowledge to Payroll, HR, and Business administrative duties just to name a few. Catherine has previously won awards such as the People’s Choice Award and Operations winner for Accountability.

As a Partner of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Catherine is on board to bring the founders’ visions to life and ensure smooth operations behind-the-scenes while supporting her colleagues on the front lines.

Catherine was born and raised in East Dallas, Texas, and attended Sam Houston State University. Catherine and her husband, Blake, reside in north Dallas with their three children, two dogs, and bearded dragon. On the weekends, you can find the Bremers spending time with family at the lake fishing, swimming, or just hanging out outdoors.

Jason Spiece

Jason Spiece brings over 20 years of recruiting and consultant experience to the team. Many of those years are in the healthcare industry working with a variety of levels of professionals from entry-level to executives. He has a passion for physician recruitment, which has been the cornerstone of his career and success in helping families find the right fit nationwide. Jason brings a unique approach to recruitment that starts with listening to the needs and motivations of his candidates to ensure the right match is found for his candidates and clients.

Jason grew up in central Michigan and graduated from the University of Toledo as a scholarship athlete where a strong work ethic helped launch his career in the right path. He is the father of two young daughters and resides in the north Georgia area. He loves the outdoors and takes advantage of a multitude of recreational activities year-round.

Brandon Noohi

Brandon Noohi has been a recruiter and consultant since 2014 and brings 15 years of sales experience. He has a passion for physician recruitment, which he has had great success in helping families find the ideal fit nationwide. He brings a willingness to assist and focuses on the client’s needs. He prides himself on transparent communication, attention to detail and creating a strategic recruiting plan for each of his clients. His focus is to find the right candidate for his client while continuing to build long lasting relationships.

Brandon was raised in Oklahoma City, OK. He graduated for the University of Central Oklahoma where he was a student-athlete (Quarterback). Brandon and his wife Alicia live in McKinney, TX just East of the Dallas metroplex. During his downtime, Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife Alicia and son Roman. Brandon is also very active in the football community serving as a QB Trainer in the Dallas metroplex for the past 8 years. He enjoys playing golf, flag football, as well as playing the piano and guitar.

Terry Dickerson

Terry Dickerson has almost 10 years in physician recruiting and consulting and over 20+ years’ experience working with dental and medical providers. His goal is to make a difference in communities and organizations by positively influencing and impacting others while building and nurturing relationships over a long period.

Terry grew up in Dallas/Fort Worth, but his roots are small town Texas, where his father’s family is from in Muenster, Texas. Terry has a daughter, and lives in Dallas with his trusty pup, Tuppy. In his free time, Terry enjoys travel, gardening and is active outdoors, hiking, biking, hunting, and fishing.

Sean Crosswhite

With over 20 years of healthcare recruiting and leadership experience, Sean has consulted thousands of hospitals, medical group practices, and academic institutions regarding physician and advanced practice search solutions, initiatives, market trends, compensation, contracts, retention, and other related issues. Sean has developed expertise in evaluating current recruitment practices, and through consultation and collaboration, he can help design and implement a solution that meets and exceeds client expectations.

Sean began his career as a recruiter and has held various recruiting leadership positions throughout his tenure at Merritt Hawkins and The Medicus Firm. Sean was born in Alabama and has lived in Tennessee, California, Colorado, and Massachusetts. He currently resides in metro Atlanta with his wife, Suzanne. Together they have four children. In his spare time, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, staying active, and traveling.

Jamie Mouchet

Jamie Mouchet is a seasoned professional in the Recruitment and Staffing Industry with 10+ years experience. Her dedication lies in making a positive impact on patient lives within Healthcare Systems and Communities across the country. One of her core strengths is her ability to effectively match candidates for long-term success. Throughout her career, Jamie has earned multiple accolades, and she prides herself on her honesty, compassion, and consultative approach. Additionally, she possesses an extensive knowledge of the market.

Jamie’s roots can be traced back to rural West Georgia, specifically Bremen. She graduated from The University of Georgia in 1999, proudly cheering for the Bulldogs. Recently, she made a move from Alpharetta, GA to Bluffton, SC, along with her partner Russ and their two beloved dogs, Willie Nelson (a Golden Retriever) and Buck (a Springer Spaniel).

In her free time, Jamie enjoys watching the Georgia Bulldogs play football in Athens, indulging in travel adventures, playing the guitar, biking, and frequenting the beautiful beaches of Hilton Head. Her passion for family is evident as she cherishes spending quality time with her nieces and nephews back in Georgia.

Jordan Jorns stands out as a dedicated Business Development professional. She boasts a rich background in healthcare staffing that spans nearly a decade. Her commitment to a client-first philosophy is evident in her ability to build strong, meaningful relationships, deeply understand each client’s unique needs, and deliver solutions with unwavering integrity. Jordan’s focused approach to client satisfaction catalyzes change, enhances patient care, enriches communities, and drives hospital revenue through strategic provider recruitment.

Jordan’s healthcare journey began at Baylor Nursing School, where she developed a foundational passion for making a tangible impact. Her experiences have taken her from the scenic landscapes of Knoxville, Tennessee, and the historic streets of Florence, Italy, back to her roots in Dallas, Texas, where she cherishes being close to her parents and five siblings.

Outside of her professional life, Jordan is a passionate advocate for animal rescue. Her home is filled with barks and meows with her 3 fur-babies: Harlow, a Pitt Bull mix; Hadley, a Malamute mix; and Indiana Jorns, a Maine Coon mix, making her abode a true haven of love and care.

Chelsea Sattler

Chelsea Sattler’s journey in business development within the healthcare recruitment sector began in 2017. She swiftly set herself apart with her profound comprehension of the diverse needs of organizations and her commitment to identifying and addressing her clients’ unique challenges. Chelsea crafts personalized solutions that are specifically designed for each client.

Chelsea’s strength lies in forming lasting partnerships anchored by consistently honest and consultative communication. She’s committed to ensuring clients receive superior service and strategies that make a real impact—a testament to her dedication to her client’s success.

Chelsea’s home is in East Texas, where she lives with her husband and their two-year-old daughter. When the workweek winds down, she relishes time on the lake, soaking in live music and experiencing the culinary delights of new restaurants with her family.

Ryan Kalsow

Ryan Kalsow, an industry-leading physician recruiter, brings a wealth of expertise in consulting, market data, contracts, negotiation, strategy, and overall recruitment processes. His belief in the importance of trust and clarity in partnerships is evident in his strategic approach. He guides his clients and candidates to understand their needs and wants, fostering a transparent and informed decision-making process.

Ryan’s core values of Authenticity, Integrity, and a Service Mindset are the foundation of his professional approach. His genuine and transparent style ensures that the right job is matched with the right candidate, and vice versa. This commitment to alignment leads to lasting relationships, retention, and success for all parties involved.

Raised in a small town near Madison, Wisconsin, he pursued his education at the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and Madison College, majoring in Psychology and Kinesiology. He          now resides in the Dallas, Texas area with his wife, Becca, and their two mini-Australian shepherds, Peppa and Juniper. In his leisure time, Ryan enjoys working out at the gym and spending quality time with friends and family outdoors.

Nicole Frye

Nicole Hawkins Frye is a Physical Therapist Assistant and Director of Rehab for Continuum Therapy Partners. She has been a therapist for 15 years and holds a certification from AAPACN for Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement. She was also nominated and elected to ADVION’s class of 2023 Emerging Leaders. In her spare time due to her clinical expertise and tech savvy. Nicole serves as JDH’s Clinical and administrative consultant.

REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Tom Hudgins

Tom Hudgins brings over two decades of experience assisting communities, large and small, to secure Permanent Providers for their healthcare facilities through his dedicated recruitment team. His upbringing on a farm has instilled in him a profound appreciation for smaller facilities and communities, influencing his keen understanding of the unique qualities that make these locations desirable for healthcare professionals. Hudgins’ adeptness in consulting with these communities enables him to help them devise effective strategies that enhance their appeal to prospective candidates.

Raised in a small town with a strong work ethic and serving a career in the US Army, Hudgins has developed a value system that mirrors the principles upheld by the team and leadership at J. D. Hawkins. Such values, which include integrity and commitment, are precious and sometimes elusive in the Permanent Provider Recruiting industry.

His dedication has not gone unrecognized, with Hudgins being honored with the Presidents Club award at his two previous companies. Despite these accolades, he places a greater emphasis on the relationships he has cultivated with various facilities and communities and his role in connecting them with Permanent Providers.

In his leisure time, Hudgins finds joy on the farm where he and his siblings were raised. His hobbies include bicycling, swimming, and target shooting, though he often devotes his free time to farming activities. Family is central to Hudgins’ life; he cherishes moments spent with his four children and six grandchildren, enjoying their sports and various activities.

Jeremy Schultz

Jeremy Schultz has 20+ years of experience in healthcare. He has a broad national background working with health systems, hospitals, physician practices, federally qualified health centers, behavioral health groups, and government facilities.

As a partner of J.D. Hawkins & Associates, Jeremy brings a proven ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with C-suite decision makers, physician leadership, and industry thought leaders. He is passionate about helping organizations develop and implement effective provider succession, retention, and recruiting protocols that are based on research, market analysis, and a thorough understanding of each client’s unique set of systems and processes.

Jeremy grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. Jeremy and his son live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area where he enjoys supporting his son’s love of playing bass guitar at venues throughout the metroplex.
